The Forest (Lechovo-Nymfaio)
This first section of the route connects Lechovo with Asprogeia and Nymfaio. Between Lechovo and Asprogeia, the trail passes through rich forests and rural areas, where in the past great battles took place. In Asprogeia, we recommend you to stop at the café of the village before you continue your uphill hiking which leads to Nymfaio. The old uphill path from 600 to 1200 metres, is shady and continues up the hillside (zig-zag), making walking easier. The last stage of the hiking to Nymfaio is carried out on an open hillside with an unlimited view of the lakes, surrounding mountains and settlements.
