The Back Stone (Sklithro – Limnochori)
This section is the shortest of the four suggested. It connects Sklithro with Limnochori. By climbing for a while, on a beautiful old path, you will reach Mavri Petra (i.e.Black Stone) spot. It is worth the very short detour to climb up the cliff and admire the stunning view. From the pass of Mavri Petra, a little higher, the path turns downhill, into a lush forest and many clearings with a view on Lake Zazari. At the end of the downhill, the route reaches the shores of the lake, before it ends at Limnochori. As this route is short, it is recommended to walk around Lake Zazari, and visit the “Baths” of the old thermal baths on the northern side of Lake.
